The registration form will reopen on 1 May 2026 for late registrations. Final dates for late tests will not be decided until the new academic year in September.

11+ Registration Form September 2027 Entry

Please note that the registration is made through the School for students to be able to sit the tests here, whilst the application is made through your home Local Authority between September and October 2026. The two are quite separate but necessary procedures in order that a student be considered for a place in September 2027.

The selection procedure will be carried out by the schools and not by the Local Authority. The Lincolnshire Grammar Schools will use Verbal and Non-Verbal and Spatial Reasoning tests that are specifically produced by G L Assessments (GLA). There will be two tests, both at the beginning of Year 6, and students will sit the tests at Kesteven and Grantham Girls' School, if they are registered here.

Please note that the same tests are used in all Lincolnshire Consortium Grammar Schools and therefore may be taken only once in the school year in preparation for application to any of the Schools in the Lincolnshire Consortium. Please click this link for the other schools in the Consortium

Practice Papers

Practice papers will be made available to Lincolnshire feeder primary schools. If the practice papers cannot be used in your daughter's primary school, e.g. if your daughter is at an out of county primary school, you can obtain commercially printed practice papers published by G L Assessment. These come in packs, together with a guide for parents and an administration manual and mark scheme, and are available from online retailers. They are representative of the actual test papers but not identical. The actual test papers may include item types which are not in the practice papers e.g. spatial reasoning, or omit item types which are. Since the actual tests are designed to meet Lincolnshire Grammar Schools' specific requirements, their format and layout may also differ from the standard practice papers. Nonetheless, the practice papers give children an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the general nature of the tests and to practise aspects such as following instructions carefully and working to a time limit. If purchasing packs of tests, please ensure that you buy the MULTIPLE CHOICE FORMAT, NOT the Standard Format tests. The following familiarisation papers illustrate this format:

Verbal Reasoning
Pack 1-ISBN 9780708727614
Pack 2-ISBN 9780708727621
Pack 3-ISBN 9780708727638
VR Practice Bundle (3 Packs) ISBN 9780708727690

Non Verbal Reasoning

Pack 2-ISBN 9780708727652
Pack 3-ISBN 9780708727669
NVR Practice Bundle (3 Packs) ISBN 9780708727706
