Self-certification for candidates who have missed an examination
If you are ill on the day of an exam you must:
- Contact school on 01476 563017 to report the absence as usual
- Email examillness@kggs.org with details of the illness
- Download JCQ Form 14 below and complete it. Section B should be filled out by the parent/carer, and Section C by the student. The form should then be printed out, signed by both parent/carer and student in the relevant places, and submitted to Miss Edwards, Exams Manager, in school. We will then complete Section A and submit the form.

Exam Information
Deadline date for entries (retakes) for GCSE English or Maths for November exams is 4th October.
Deadline date for entries for summer 21st February.
The contingency date for summer 2026 exams is as follows:-
Wednesday 23rd June 2027
These contingency sessions will be implemented by the awarding bodies in the event of national or significant local disruption to examinations in the United Kingdom
