Meet the wellbeing team:

What we do at KGGS to support your wellbeing

There are many things that we do within school and in your individual year groups to promote positive wellbeing.

  • An established House system with lots of events to encourage creativity, teamwork, and competition across all year groups.
  • Opportunities to raise money for different causes through your Charity Reps.
  • A diverse offer of clubs and activities to suit a range of hobbies and interests.
  • Have your voice heard and impact positive change through the School Council.
  • Access to the Pastoral and Wellbeing Team.
  • The worry box in pastoral to self-refer to the Wellbeing Team or share concerns.
  • Information and workshops delivered by external speakers.
  • Strong links with the local community.
  • A wide range of freshly made hot food options and access to the school shop.
  • Use of an extensive Library with access before, during and after school.
  • Lots of opportunities for trips and extracurricular enrichment.
  • Varied and engaging form time and guidance activities.

How can you promote our own positive wellbeing:

If you need some additional support:

In school support:

You can access the wellbeing team in school by speaking to your Form Tutor, Head of Year, by emailing or by dropping into the wellbeing office. Additionally, you can self-refer by using the worry box located in pastoral.

An initial meeting will take place where we can establish what support is right for you moving forwards. This may be structured counselling, wellbeing support sessions, drop-ins, or support with a referral to an external agency.

External support:

If you need support outside of the school day, during school holidays or just want to access an external organisation, here are some that you may find useful:
